Why We Sing

Why We SingThere are many scriptures that associate “singing” with our Lord. We believe that God has given us a measure of talent and expects us to share His word in song to a lost and dying world. A few scriptures that we would like to share

Psalm 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Isaiah 49:13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

What We Believe

  • We believe that God inspired and holds authority over all Scripture.

  • We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose for the ages.

  • We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that salvation is by Grace alone and is a free gift from God through the sacrifice of His son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation establishes an eternal relationship that can never be broken.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth someday as King of kings and Lord of lords.

  • We believe that living the Christian life is not a "religion" of rules but rather a relationship with Jesus Christ. The strength of this relationship will dictate the degree to which we are willing to pursue a life that is pleasing to God
